The Controller’s office of the City of Los Angeles has failed to properly process the applications for inclusion in the EAA Dental Plan that members submitted during the open enrollment in October and November 2007. EAA has repeatedly provided the correct information to the Controller’s office and has notified the plan provider of the problems. To assist in expediting resolution, we ask all adversely affected members to contact the Controller’s office at (213) 978-7200 with their complaints.

The Controller has only processed approximately 50% of the applications. Many of the applications that were processed have the incorrect deductions from the members’ paychecks. The Controller has not provided a date for resolution of these issues. EAA has done all that is within its power to resolve the situation.
